Tomorrow will be the 11th anniversary of the day Andrew and I “met”. That’s in quotation marks because we met online before it was common. Neither of us were looking yet we found each other thanks to a message written in French.
And today is our 8th wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe that it has been that long. We’re not big into giving each other gifts or doing anything extravagant to celebrate. We may go out for dinner somewhere over the weekend.
We were married in the wedding chapel at Greenfield Village. Because it’s a popular place to be married our ceremony was at 10AM. Being early birds we didn’t mind this time. Hopefully our guests didn’t mind either.
At the rehearsal the night before whenever I had to look up at Andrew, which was basically the whole time, I started to chuckle. I’m a mere 5’0″ and Andrew towers over me at 6’4″. His ears were being lit from behind from my point of view. They were glowing.
After the rehearsal we were talking about how I was laughing in addition to my having to feel like I was bending backward when it was time for our kiss. This is what we decided to do.
